Assistant Instructor
As a PADI Assistant Instructor you are qualified
to teach parts of the Open Water Course,
conduct Discover Scuba experiences and act
as an assistant to the instructor during
training. It is an ideal way of gaining
real instructorial experience in a real diving
environment. You may certify students
as PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty
Divers and conduct the Emergency First Response
Course, if you are trained as a PPB Instructor
and EFR Instructor. Once you receive a PADI
Equipment Specialist Specialty Instructor
certification, you can also certify students
in nondiving specialties as Equipment Specialist,
PREREQUISITES:
1. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. Be a PADI Divemaster. If you are not a PADI Divemaster but have
the equivalent in another organization, then
you must successfully complete the dive rescue
assessment of the PADI Divemaster course.
3. Have a recent medical

CERTIFICATION:
1. Successfully complete all the academic
work, water skills and examination.
2. Read and sign the PADI agreement
and submit
the PADI application.
